About Open Banker Salon
Open Banker Salon is a new kind of financial policy event, one built around the belief that the most important conversations in financial services deserve more than a 40-minute panel and a networking reception. They deserve real debate, genuine disagreement, and the best minds in the room making their strongest case.
The Salon is the first major event from Open Banker, the leading platform for financial services policy debate without a paywall. Since launching in September 2024, Open Banker has built a community of over 2,500 engaged subscribers: legislators, regulators, bank executives, fintech founders, academics, and advocates who care deeply about the future of financial services in America. The Salon brings that community together in person for the first time.
Unlike traditional conferences, the sessions at the Salon are designed as a moderated debate on the issues that matter most right now, from supervision reform and open banking implementation to digital asset regulation and the role of generative AI in financial services. Expect intellectual rigor, real disagreement, and speakers who have the depth and credibility to mix it up on the substance. We will also feature keynote remarks from senior public officials at the forefront of financial policy.
The event is intentionally intimate, attendance will be capped at 200 financial policy professionals, because the goal is not scale, it is quality. This is a room where everyone belongs there, where the conversations on stage continue over lunch and into the evening, and where ideas that appear in Open Banker come to life.
The inaugural Open Banker Salon takes place on June 5, 2026 at the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC.
If an idea appears in Open Banker, it matters. If it matters, you'll find it here — and at the Salon.
